Our Internet Policy and Homeowner Provided
Equipment
Because of previous experiences and industry related
experiences, Automation Specialists Inc. has
implemented a policy for those Clients that would
like to supply their own products for a project.
While we don’t condone this, we will work with the
Client in order to achieve their goals and
objectives.
Client shall assume responsibility and payment for
any customer service related issues, returns,
repairs, credits, shipping, handling and insurance
of the product they purchase.
Client shall deliver material to the job site or to
the office of Automation Specialists Inc. on a
pre-determined date in order for Automation
Specialist to burn-in, qualify and/or pre-assemble
into the Client’s system.
Client shall be responsible for theft of the
materials no matter where the materials are stored.
Equipment is not eligible for our warranty program.
Automation Specialists Inc., with its extensive
experience in this industry, offers products that
meet requirements for controllability, performance,
aesthetics, reliability and great warranty periods.
An Internet purchased product or homeowner provided
product might not meet one or more of these
requirements.
Automation Specialists Inc. will not “marry” and/or
assume ownership of any product we did not purchase.
Automation Specialists Inc. is trained and schooled
on the operation, configuration and installation of
the products we carry. This often means that an
employee of Automation Specialists has attended a 1
to 5 day class at a manufactures facility in order
to become an authorized reseller and installer.
Internet resellers are often times not authorized
manufacture resellers and therefore exchanges,
repairs and warranty issues may not be recognized by
the reseller, and even by the manufacture.
Automation Specialists Inc. cannot be the technical
support person for a product that we are not
familiar with and we’re not trained upon.
The above points may sound harsh and pessimistic,
but we have “been there, done that”, and it’s a no
win situation for both the Client and Automation
Specialists. We have goals to install the best
performing, simple to use and aesthetically pleasing
system. The items above may compromise our goals,
and may even be more expensive to the Client when
you take into account the additional labor needed to
deal with the above points. |
